Maltese/ Il-Malti

A language of semitic origin written in the Latin script and one of the two official languages in Malta. Still widely spoken and used in Malta both socially and in Institutional settings it is the amalgamation of a number of romantic languages with a strong Arabic foundation reflecting the many years of colonisation and influence of the Maltese islands.
