The Italian syllabus covers and gives equal importance to the four main language skills namely listening, speaking, reading and writing. The main focus lies on the development of communicative language competences and communicative strategies.
Italy is Malta’s neighbouring country and many companies enter into business relationships with Italian companies very often. Therefore, the study of the Italian language opens doors for the international job market. Learning a foreign language means that the individual apart from learning the linguistic component, will be also exposed to new cultures. It gives the opportunity to meet new and interesting people and developing lifelong friendships.
