Advanced (AM) Mathematics prepares students for further studies in Mathematics and related subjects and extends the students’ range of mathematical techniques so as to apply them in more difficult and unstructured problems.

The study area AM Pure Mathematics is informed by the National Curriculum Framework (NCF). The Edexcel International A’Level Mathematics is informed by Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF).
The syllabus assumes a good knowledge of the subject at SEC level and coverage of the extension topics in Paper 2A. It aims at consolidating this knowledge and to extend it to include more advanced concepts. We offer extra help to those students who have opted for Paper 2B at SEC level or who have not obtained the SEC Mathematics exam.

AM (Advanced) Pure Mathematics will cover all of the subject’s core syllabus including: Surds, Indices, Logarithms, Partial Fractions and Quadratics, Sequences and Series, Enumeration and probability, Graphic techniques and Coordinate Geometry, Functions, Trigonometry, Complex Numbers, Differentiation, Integration, Differential Equations, Vectors, Matrices, Summation of Series, Method of Mathematical Induction, Polar Coordinates, and Numerical Methods.
